Low Budget Anthology

 (looper.com)

HOUSE OF THE DEAD: ALIEN ZONE-1978-Talmudge (John Ericson), a married man having an affair with a married woman is dropped off by a cab on the wrong street on his way back to his hotel in the pouring rain. He's taken in by an odd guy (Ivor Francis) who turns out to be a mortician. He then relates the story of Miss Sibiler (Judith Novgrod), an uptight teacher who doesn't seem to like kids, who when she gets home seems to have an intruder in her house. Little children in Halloween masks seem to be the culprits…but are they really children? In the second, a serial killer kills 2 women while filming it. He's arrested by the police and we learn he was executed. Goes nowhere. Then America's greatest detective Malcohm Tolliver (Charles Aidman) meets Scotland Yards’ greatest detective Inspector McDowal (Bernard Fox) after Tolliver receives a mysterious threatening letter. When he investigates, McDowal tags along. They wind up killing each other. In the next one, a corporate office worker ignores a homeless man. He gets trapped in a building where a trash compactor and a wall of nails almost kill him. When he gets out, he's now like the homeless man.

Finally, it appears the mortician is Death. Talmudge runs away and is shot by his lover's husband. The mortician is in the ambulance that takes his corpse away. Filmed in Oklahoma. The director Sharron Miller worked on lots of TV show episodes.

The Munsters

 (imdb)

MUNSTER, GO HOME!-1966-After Herman (Fred Gwynne) comes home via hearse he finds he's inherited a mansion in England. So, he, wife Lily (Yvonne DeCarlo), son Eddie (Butch Patrick), “ugly” niece Marilyn (Debbie Watson) and Grandpa (Al Lewis) pack up and head for the UK. Lady Effigie (Hermione Gingold), her two children (Terry-Thomas & Jeanne Arnold) and their butler Cruikshank (John Carradine, who played Herman's boss Mr. Graves in 2 episodes of the TV series) plan to scare them away because they are part of a counterfeiting ring run by the mysterious Gryphon. Marilyn falls for Roger Moresby (Robert Pine) whose father Lord Moresby (Bernard Fox) has a grudge against The Munsters. Later Herman enters an annual drag race driving Grandpa's famous “Dragula” which his English relatives have rigged to kill him.

This movie seems to have been made just to show off the elaborate make-up used on the TV show as it's in Technicolor (their TV series which had already been canceled, was in black and white). Busy TV director Earl Bellamy had also done many episodes of the TV show.

Quick Hound

HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES-1972-Many people seem to have forgotten this TV movie version of the famous A. Conan Doyle story was ever made.

It features Stewart Granger as Sherlock Holmes and Bernard Fox as Dr. Watson. They are not the best actors to play the team but for a TV movie they aren’t bad. Capt. Kirk himself William “Canadian Ham” Shatner is the suspicious and smirk George Stapleton and also plays the doomed Richard Baskerville in a pre-credit flashback. Also with Anthony Zerbe, Sally Ann Howes and Allan Caillou as Inspector Lestrade. Director Barry Crane was a busy TV director at the the time.
