Fightful

(imdb)

FRIGHTMARE-1983-Some idiot fans of the recently deceased horror star Conrad Razoff (Ferdinand Mayne; THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS (1967)) steal his corpse and have a party where they get drunk and dance with him. Later they put him in the attic. His wife contacts a psychic (Nita Talbott) who performs a seance that brings Conrad back to life. He kills most of them (including Jeffery Combs in his third film) and a fat cop investigates. One guy (future director Luca Bercovici) is cremated alive. Leon Askin (from TV's "Hogan's Heroes" has a small role).

Confused typical '80's slasher nonsense written & directed by Norman Thaddeus Vane who many years earlier penned The Herman's Hermits movie MRS. BROWN, YOU'VE GOT A LOVELY DAUGHTER (1968).

It Never Ends

 (imdb)

CATACLYSM (THE NIGHTMARE NEVER ENDS)-1980-A couple, Clare and James Hanson (Faith Clift and Richard Moll) vacation in Las Vegas after Clare complains that she dreams about demons. At a show, a psychic shows her a scene of Nazis celebrating. Then a guy from the SS kills the women playing music. Clare invites the psychic to dinner but he's killed before he can attend. Meanwhile Mr. Weiss (Marc Lawrence) gets very upset when he sees Mr. Olivier (Robert Bristol) on TV. He tells police captain Sterne (Cameron Mitchell) that the guy killed his family 35 years before but since Olivier is in his 20's, the captain doesn't believe him. Weiss goes to kill Olivier and is killed by a monster.

This is actually a feature length version of the third story of the horror paste up anthology NIGHT TRAIN TO TERROR. It's almost twice as long as that version and there have been at least 4 other versions in one shape or another! The male voices in this seem to be slowed down and dubbed by the one person!

Nimoy

BAFFLED!-1973-American race car driver Tom Kovack (Leonard Nimoy) has strange visions of Wyndam Castle in Devon and a woman and child in danger. An English woman Michelle Brent (Susan Hampshire) tells him he has a special power. Meanwhile actress Andrea Glenn (Vera Miles) and her daughter Jen (Jewell Blanch) move into the castle Kovack saw in his vision (they were also there). Mrs. Farraday (Rachel Roberts) sees to their needs. After Kovac has another vision where he falls out a window, he goes with Michelle to stay at the castle (which takes guests). It seems someone is hiding out in the castle grounds and only Jen knows it.

Jen gets a medallion with a wolf on it that seems to possess her but it all has to do with an old woman who wants to use Jen's psychic powers (but not really).

Nimoy is good in the lead role with some nice touches of humor but the story isn't much. It was a pilot for a proposed TV series directed by Phillip Leacock who was doing a lot of American TV episodes at the time.

Happy Memorial Day! Love long and Prosper!

Chan On The Sea

CHARLIE CHAN’S MURDER CRUISE-1940-Charlie Chan (Sidney Toler) is ready to spank no.7 son Willie (Layne Tom Jr.) for going through Pop’s mail to find a bad report card but is interrupted by a visit from his old friend Inspector Duff of Scotland Yard (Montague Shaw). He’s on the trial of an international killer known only as “The Strangler” and has narrowed the search down to 10 people all on an around the world cruise ship. Unfortunately before they can act Duff is strangled to death in Chan’s own office! Charlie meets archaeologist Prof. Gordon (Leo G. Carroll), tour director Dr. Suderman (Lionel Atwill), Richard Kenyon (Robert Lowery), a murdered passenger’s nephew, the hypochondriac Pendelton (Leonard Mudie) and the smug Mr. Ross (Don Beddoe). Also thrown in is a quick to hysterics socialite Suzie (Cora Witherspoon) and her secretary Paula (Marjorie Weaver), who Kenyon is sweet on. Then there's the Amish looking Mr.& Mrs. Walters (Charles Middleton and Claire Du Brey). She’s psychic and implicates Kenyon in the murder of his uncle. Meanwhile a mysterious bearded beggar hangs around. The killer leaves a bag of 30 silver dimes with each of his victims. A weird hobby horse race figures into the plot. Jimmy (Sen Yung) hangs around as a steward and gets into trouble.

Eugene Forde directed this easy to take mystery with a good cast.

Followed by CHARLIE CHAN IN THE WAX MUSEUM.

Eyes!

THE EYES OF ANNIE JONES-1964-In the English countryside a mill manager Geraldine Wheeler is killed (and her body hidden) in a pre-credits scene. Her Aunt Helen (Joyce Carey) hires young Annie Jones (Francesca Annis) an orphan described as a "dirty, unattractive child" to use her psychic powers to find the Carol. Carol's brother American raised David (Richard Conte)  and his wife are unconvinced but Annie does find his missing cuff link. Later David is not sure he wants his sister found as he has been embezzling money from the mill (which sis owned). Meanwhile a murderer hangs around.

It's kind of talky and simple but the short running time helps. It's based on a story by American mystery writer Henry Slesar and was the second to last film directed by (also American) Reginald Le Borg (THE BLACK SLEEP, VOODOO ISLAND).
