Better To Be a Cockroach..

 (imdb)

METAMORPHOSIS-2007-In Budapest, the daughter of Elizabeth Bathory (Irena Hoffman) comes back to life as a vampire. She hooks up with an American (Corey Sevier) doing a book about her and his two friends. She likes him because he has sympathy for her and she beats up a local mugger. Later, after they crash their car, they meet Igor (Zolee Ganxsta) and Sabine (Florentine Lahme), two local tourists. They hook up with a priest and nun and are chased by wolves. And then Christopher Lambert shows up to chew the scenery. Pretty tough going. Director Jeno Hodi also made AMERICAN KICKBOXER 2 (1993).

Grin and Lambert It

DAY OF WRATH (GAME OF SWORDS)-2005-In Spain in 1542, during the inquisition, a drunken sheriff (Christopher Lambert) investigates a series of murders that leads to a conspiracy involving corruption, torture, murder and aristocrats covering up their Jewish bloodline.  This medieval tale is very slow going and Lambert's character is kind of a fool but it was nice to see Brian Blessed as the pompous mayor. James Faulkner is Friar Anselmo who conducts some tortures. A few higher production values can't cover up the fact that this is just more Lambert boredom. Filmed mostly in Budapest by director Adrian Rudomin.

Resurrection

RESURRECTION-1999-This SEVEN inspired serial killer movie is about a maniac who’s collecting the body parts of his victim’s to recreate the body of Christ. Christopher Lambert stars as John Prudhomme a faith challenged Cajun cop (probably to explain the actor’s accent) in Chicago (which is obviously Toronto) hunting the killer. Leland Orser is his partner. Robert Joy (CITY OF THE DEAD) is a CIA agent who helps out. Director David Cronenberg (the same year he made eXistenZ) shows up for a couple of scenes.

Much of the movie seems to be a soapbox for Lambert’s emoting and goes out of it’s way to be extremely gory (the cops are always 5 minutes late). The worse part is it’s way too long! The director Russell Mulcahy directed RAZORBACK, THE SHADOW and HIGHLANDER 2:THE QUICKENING (also with Lambert) then went into rock videos, TV episodes and some TV movies before making this. He later made RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION and THE SCORPION KING 2.
