MACON COUNTY LINE-1974-Two ignorant redneck brothers Wayne (Jesse Vint) & Chris (Jesse's real life brother Alan) drive around causing trouble before they are scheduled to join the army. They pick up hitchhiker, Jenny (Cheryl Waters). While waiting for a mechanic (Geoffrey Lewis) to fix their water pump, they run into deputy sheriff Reed Morgan (Max Baer; Jethro Bodine from TV's “The Beverly Hillbillies”). He questions them and picks up his son (Lief Garrett) at military school. Two perverted criminals kill Baer's wife. After killing a cop, they are arrested. Baer believes the brothers are responsible and with his 10-year-old son in tow, goes after them. 

Terrible, violent low budget drive-in fodder. Also with Doodles Weaver, Jay Adler, Sam Gilman, Emile Meyer and Joan Blackman. Jed's nephew was a co-writer (with director Richard Compton) and co-producer on this obviously trying to throw off his dumb hayseed image.

PIGS-1973-A woman named Lynn (Toni Lawrence) kills her father after he rapes her. She's com-mitted to a mental hospital. While a doctor and nurse are having sex, she somehow gets out of her padded cell and escapes. While she wanders around, a pig farmer named Zambrini (Toni's dad Marc who also wrote, produced and directed) is feeding people to his pigs. Sheriff Tom (Jesse Vint) investigates when townsfolk go missing. Lynn goes to work in Zambrini's diner. When a doctor from her hospital comes to take her back, she kills him. 

Terribly made regional horror film with some of darkest filmed scenes ever (even in the daytime). 

Do it all veteran character actor Lawrence had to take out a second mortgage to finish the film. Aka DADDY'S LITTLE DARLING.

BOBBIE JO AND THE OUTLAW-1976-Reckless self-assured car thief Lyle Wheeler (Marjoe Gortner) hooks up with waitress Bobbie Joe (Lynda Carter) and her friend Essie (Belinda Balaski). He and Billie Jo become lovers and do a lot of nonsense until they meet up with BJ's sister Pearl (Merrie Lynn Ross) and her boyfriend Slick (Jesse Vint) and Lyle kills a factory guard. They all go on the run. During a police shootout, which they escape, Essie is killed. They decide to become bank robbers and killers. The tobacco chewing sheriff (Gene Drew) chases them and kills the wrong people at one point. 

This misguided "Bonnie & Clyde" influenced drama from AIP is OK to a point but just goes on too long. Director Mark L. Lester went on to make several high-profile movies like ROLLER BOOGIE (1979), CLASS OF 1984 (1982) and FIRESTARTER (1984) culminating with Arnold Schwarzenegger in COMMANDO. Screenwriter Vernon Zimmerman went on to direct FADE TO BLACK in 1980.

BLACK OAK CONSPIRACY-1977-Tedious hillbilly nonsense inspired by TV's The Dukes of Hazzard with a arrogant trouble making Hollywood stuntman Jingo Johnson (co-scripter Jesse Vint) going back to his hometown to visit his mom in a nursing home and uncovering a land grab conspiracy by weaselly land developer Harrison Hancock (Robert F. Lyons),who's also sleeping with Jingo's ex- girlfriend Lucy (Karen Carlson), and his not so nice father (Douglas Fowley) who he's not sleeping with. Sheriff Otis (Albert Salmi) is in cahoots with them. Lucy's father (Seymour Cassell) helps Jingo out. In the end the sheriff goes crazy and tries to blame some killings on Jingo but in a weird finale in a rock quarry Jingo triumphs and wins back his ex. 

With a quick exploding head, nudity and Phil Every doing the theme song. Filmed in Oklahoma by former actor Bob Kelljan who earlier had made the two Count Yorga movies and SCREAM BLACULA SCREAM.
