DEATH CAR ON THE FREEWAY-1979-An actress named Becky (Morgan Brittany) is driven off the freeway by a mysterious black van. Later another woman is put in the hospital by a crash caused by the van. A reporter (Shelly Hack) investigates and butts heads with a police Lt. (Peter Graves) while being pursued by her estranged husband (George Hamilton) to get back together. Frank Gorshin is her boss and Barbara Rush is a co-anchor. Typical all star TV cast DUEL inspired melodrama directed by Hal Needham who has a small role. Also with Harriet Nelson as a blind landlady, Dinah Shore as a victim on TV, Abe Vigoda and Sid Haig.

Teens vs. Aliens

INVASION OF THE SAUCER MEN-1957-Aliens have invaded lovers point in the sleepy town of Hicksville USA. Johnny Carter (Steve Terrell) and his girlfriend Joan (Gloria Castillo) hit one of the mini spacemen with their car. They call for help but the police don't believe them. There's also two bored con men, Joe (Frank Gorshin) and Artie (Lyn Osbourne). Artie seems to be the narrator at the beginning. Joe finds Johnny's car with the saucer man pinned under it. When he tries to move it he’s killed by some other saucer men who have some kind of metal rods in their fingers (like Wolverine). Old man Larkin (Raymond Hatton) calls the cops but when they come of course the alien corpse is gone and they think Johnny's been drinking. One saucer guy has a run in with Larkin's bull and kills it. Meanwhile Johnny and Joan enlist Artie to help them after being terrorized by a severed alien hand. Adults won't help so it's up to the lovebirds and their gang to stop the invaders. There's also a government cover up conducted by the army that accidentally destroys the spaceship. The aliens inject alcohol into their victims. Russ Bender is a doctor. Jason Johnson and Ed Nelson are in it too. Angelo Rossitto, Paul Blaisdell (who created the eerie aliens) and Bob Burns are the saucer-men. This whacky teenagers meet aliens movie was directed by Edward L. Cahn and much like his THE SHE CREATURE features memorable monsters but not that good of a story.

Disco Comedy

RECORD CITY-1977-Stupid comedy relic from the '70's about an amateur music contest revolving around the local characters working and hanging out at the title place, a discount record store run by arrogant, disco look manager Eddie (Michael Callan). 

A young clerk named Danny (Dennis Bowen) plans to enter the contest. He's sweet on Lorraine (Wendy Schaal) another employee. Tim Thomerson (who gets kicked in the groin several times) and Ted Lange also work there but there are a whole bunch of smaller roles by people like Alice Ghostley and Leonard Barr as an old couple. Larry Storch as a deaf guy. Sorrell Brooks is a cop who gets his foot stuck in a toilet bowl. Ed Begley Jr. is a robber. Ruth Buzzi is a washerwoman. Alan Oppenhiemer is a blind man in a scene obviously “inspired” by IT'S A GIFT while other slapstick stunts seem to be based on the 3 Stooges! Jack Carter is the owner of the whole store (he winds up wearing female underwear) who owes money to a mobster who's bodyguard is played Harold Sakata (dressed like Oddjob)! To top it all off Rick Dees (who had the number # 1 hit “Disco Duck” in '76) shows up as a DJ called “Gorilla Man”. The song he does shows why Disco died. Prop comedian Gallagher is there too being unfunny. 

And then Frank Gorshin shows up as a criminal called “The Chameleon” who dresses as a nun in the dumb finale! This seems to be the only feature film directed by Dennis Steinmetz who previous to this directed episodes of THE LAND OF THE LOST. It was written by someone named Ron Friedman that may explain the appearance of Kinky Friedman playing himself.
