Out West With Stan & Laurel

WAY OUT WEST-1937-In an old west setting Laurel and Hardy play Stan & Ollie two nincompoops who for some reason are entrusted to deliver a gold mine deed to a young woman named Mary (Rosina Lawrence) who works in a kitchen at a local saloon. Of course they mess the whole thing up as the saloon owner (L & H regular James Finlayson ) tricks them into giving it to his wife (Sharon Lynne), the saloon’s star attraction. There’s some very funny bits especially when the duo try to get back the deed after it’s been locked in a safe. They also sing “On The Trail of the Lonesome Pine”.

Director James W. Horne had previously made two other Laurel and Hardy vehicles BONNIE SCOTLAND and THE BOHEMIAN GIRL.
