Rat In The House

 (imdb)

OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN-1983-Peter Weller stars as a yuppie who spends the better part of two hours trying to kill an over-sized rat in his apartment while his wife (Shannon Tweed in her film debut) is away. This film won several international awards. I'm not sure why. Also with Lawrence Dane and Maury Chaykin.

This Canada-US co-production was directed by George P. Cosmatos who later went on to direct Slyvester Stallone in RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART 2 (1985) and COBRA (1986) and the western TOMBSTONE in 1993. Peter Weller starred in the cult film THE ADVENTURES OF BUCKAROO BANZAI ACROSS THE 8TH DIMENSION in 1984 and full stardom with ROBO-COP in 1987.
