THE GOLDEN ARROW-1962-Hassan (Tab Hunter with a dubbed in voice) leads a band that kidnaps Jamila (Rossana Podesta; in HORROR CASTLE by the same director the next year), a princess and holds her for ransom. At night, he takes the ransom and the princess and makes his getaway. He abandons her in a market and is promptly arrested. 3 genies help him escape because he is actually the real sultan of Damascus. 

With a flying carpet, fire monsters and a serious story that switches to comedy whenever the genies show up. Low budget Italian “sword & sandal” production directed by Antonio Margheriti.

Enter The Dragon Don Wilson

 

TERMINAL RUSH-1996-Deputy sheriff Jacob Harper (Don “The Dragon” Wilson) beats up rednecks at a local bar and worries about his relationship with his pregnant wife Katherine (Kate Greenhouse) who doesn't like the desert. Terrorists take over the Hoover dam and threaten to destroy it unless a ransom is paid. Jacob's dad is one of the hostages. The plan is run by stupid English snot nose, Dekker (Michael Anderson Jr.) and mercenary partner Bartel  (“Rowdy” Roddy Piper). 

This Canadian production is like a typical '80's action/martial arts action film with Piper and Anderson overacting outrageously. Director Damian Lee (FOOD OF THE GODS 2) also made ABRAXAS: GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY with former pro-wrestler (and ex-governor) Jesse “The Body” Ventura six years before.

Private Eyes

PRIVATE EYES-1953-In another typical Bowery Boys outing Sach (Huntz Hall) gets punched in the nose and obtains the ability to read minds. Slip (Leo Gorcey) buys a detective agency and "the boys" (along with David Gorcey as Chuck and Bennie Bartlett as Butch) get involved with a stolen furs gang. 

It's the usual BB inanity with Sach doing his dumbest using a shotgun and homemade bomb to try and open a safe (he put the combination in it so he wouldn't lose it...). Later after a little kid is kidnapped and held for ransom Slip once again disguises himself as a German doctor and Sach dresses in drag as his female patient! 

Joyce Holden (TERROR IN THE YEAR 5000 AD) is the woman who's part of the gang but has a change of heart and helps out. Myron Healy is a dumb hospital attendant and Emil Sitka has a bigger role than usual. Also with Chick Chandler, Tim Ryan, Bill Phillips and Peter Mamkos. 

PE is like an overlong episode of The Abbott and Costello TV show combined with a lot of 3 Stooges gags. This figures since it was made by writer Ellwood Ullman and director Edward Bernds.

Terror Anyone?

THE NIGHT HOLDS TERROR-1955-Nice guy Gene Coutier (Jack Kelly who was in CULT OF THE COBRA the same year) picks up a hitchhiker (Vince Edwards) who turns out to be part of a trio of thugs (along with David Cross and leader John Cassavetes). They take him and his family hostage while waiting over night to sell his car. The future BEN CASEY takes a shine to Mrs. Coutier (Hildy Harris) in the long night that follows similar in plot to THE DESPERATE HOURS (made the same year). When the trio learns Courtier's father (Jonathan Hale) is rich they decide to hold him for ransom. Usual comic actor Jack Kruschen has a small role as a detective.

Strangely, Courtier narrates parts of it ala DETOUR then suddenly another narrator chimes in to explain police procedure. Also with Barney Phillips. Cross later played Pax the clicker in CREATION OF THE HUMANOIDS. Writer/director Andrew Stone later made THE RING OF FIRE and THE LAST VOYAGE. Based on a true story they say.
